A beautiful late 19th century painted gesso Alhambra Plaque by Enrique Linares, Granada. It features a double doorway with a central column decorated with gilt and polychrome and is inscribed to the lower edge No 7 Enrique Linares Granada Es propiedad.
The Moorish frame is inlaid with specimens of bone and wood in geometric designs.

The model features a plaster relief of a window arch with borders of foliate arabesques, arcading and stylised foliage with tiled decoration to the lower half and the base is inscribed No7 Enrique Linares Es propiedad.
Enrique Linares Garcia started trading a variety of souvenir works from within the Alhambra in the 1870s, later expanding the business with his brother Abelardo to include photography studios. Linares produced these architectural models to feed the growing appetite for the late 19th century 'Alhambrism'.
A model of the Torre de las Infantas made by Linares in the 1890s displayed at the Victoria & Albert Museum in the Architecture Gallery (Room 128, No.A.26-1936).
