Cefalu

A fabulous start the the summer holidays on the island of Sicily with a trip to the historic town of Cefalù and it’s magnificent Norman cathedral. Dating to around 1131 the original building was started by Roger II. It features high in the apse ‘Christ Pantocrator with the Virgin Mary , Archangels and the Apostles’  in splendid gold and blue mosaic and a wonderful font .
