Semana Santa is the most important festival week in the whole of Andalusia  where the villages, towns and cities celebrate the Passion and the Death of Christ. Works of antique polychrome art are carried by bearers  in procession through the streets on highly decorated floats or pasos . Here in Seville we managed to view a stunning paso  in the Chapel of Santa Ana in the Triana district  prior to it’s journey on Good Friday through the city centre. The whole event is a stunning piece of Spanish religious theatre and highly recommended viewing if you get the chance.
