The second of the must see exhibitions in London at the moment, especially for Hispanic Antiques, are the treasures from the Hispanic Society Museum at the Royal Academy, Piccadilly brought together under the title Spain and the Hispanic World. This brings artefacts and works of art from Spain and The New World from early Roman history on the Iberian peninsula right up to the early 20th century. It features fabulous ceramics, metalware, sculpture and art from Spain’s golden age of Velasquez , Zurbaran , Goya and Sorolla. The highlight for myself was the stunning Baptismal Font from Toledo c1400-50 shown in the main photo. Go see !
