    A bronze medieval 'chessman' type seal matrix with a tapering, hexagonal-sectioned handle and a circular seal face engraved with a bird of prey attacking a mallard. The inscription reads *ALAS IE SV PRISÂ - Alas, I am taken/I am caught. 13th - 14thC
