A pair of highly decorative wood polychrome figures dating from the 19th C , possibly depicting Spain's greatest king and queen, Ferdinand and Isabella . They are generally accepted to be the founders of modern Spain uniting their respective principalities of Castile and Aragon and going on to complete the Christian reconquest of the Iberian peninsula with the defeat of the Muslim kingdom of Granada in 1492.
