These panels would originally have been part of a longer bank of similar panels carved from one piece of wood. The carving is of exceptional quality, and it treats the tracery and foliate patterns with great delicacy. They probably originated from the Southern Castile or Salamanca area considering the quality of workmanship, which is reflective of other early work from that area.
