    Details

The Surrealist Angel reflects Dalí’s long-standing fascination with angels as intermediaries between the earthly and the divine. Developed from themes explored since the 1930s and intensified during his later mystical period, the figure combines elongated classical proportions with surreal abstraction. The simplified, faceted features and sense of weightless balance evoke spirituality, transformation, and inner vision. Cast in bronze, the work links Dalí’s early Surrealism to his later religious and metaphysical concerns.
The 'Kunstguss Strehle' is a famous German foundry well known for casting bronze sculptures and is particularly noted for producing works of Salvador Dalí in the early 1980's.

    Provenance: Previously Nina Miller collection.
