Madrid – December

At Hispanic Antiques we have recently been to Madrid on a short weekend break . We stayed in the Plaza Independenzia close to the Retiro Park an ideal location for taking in the sights in particular the ‘Prado’ and the Museo Reina Sofia , with an unbelievable collection and range of art. An obvious highlight would have to be ‘Guernica’ by Picasso, much larger than I imagined and quite moving, and also the Black series of paintings by Goya in particular ‘The Dog’ – what an image.
