The table has a single plank walnut top above three carved panel fronted drawers divided by shaped front supports. It has lyre shaped trestle ended bases with wrought iron cross stretchers. This style of table often came from Catalonia although the lyre type of legs was actually copied in Andalusia also. They were sometimes called Campaign tables as it was thought that the legs could be folded under the top and carried more easily when marching to battles .
